OSH 2010 - Message from Paul Chernikeeff CEO Rotec Engineering
A big thank you to the following who contributed to Rotec having such a successful Oshkosh 2010!!!
Robert Baslee:
For again manning the Rotec booth and displaying his amazing selection of Rotec radial powered WW1 replica aircraft.
This is now the 5 year running Robert has been invited to share the Rotec booth. Robert and Rotec have forged a very strong relationship.
Russ Turner:
For allowing Rotec to display his superb 100% scale Airdrome airplanes Sopwith Camel. R3600 powered.
Glen Burt:
For once again offering his services at the booth all show! His warm personality and enthusiasm are hard to beat, Glen is building a Sopwith Pup 100% with Rotec R2800. We hope to see it next year on the Rotec booth.
John Kerr:
John flew his R3600 powered Hatz Classic from Utah, around 1500 miles! His airplane was displayed on our booth and was a hit all show. John’s plane captures the essence of what Rotec radial engines are all about.
John was well deserving in his winning of an EAA award for best home built.
David Shirey:
Like John Kerr, David Shirey also flew his beautiful R2800 powered Fisher Celebrity bi-plane to the show. David’s plane was a hit during the show and David entertained the many on lookers with his trails and tribulation during the build. The plane was heavily judged at the show and was not far out of the trophies in my opinion.
Steve Newing:
Long time Australian friend of Paul Chernikeeff and Rotec engineering, Steve Newing was a life saver during the show as his manned the booth, took orders, and answered a thousand questions, long after everyone had left Steve was there to help Paul teardown the booth and pack every thing away for another year. Steve is a well known air show Pilot down under and has a vast knowledge of radial engines having owned and operated many in his time. He’s presence on the Rotec booth was greatly appreciated!!!!
Pascal Kramer:
For sharing stories and documented accounts of his remarkable and historic crossing of the English channel in his R2800 powered Airdrome Bleriot aircraft.
