Pascal Kremer and his R2800 Powered Airdrome Aeroplanes Bleriot XI :
Pascal writes: ... This is a replica of the famous Bleriot XI that made the first successful crossing of the English Channel on July 25th 1909. The aircraft was built with the purpose to replicate this fabulous flight on July 25th 2009. Thereafter the aircraft will be used to show people at airshows around Europe what aircraft looked like in the early days of aviation.
Original plans were used to design this aircraft and much care has been taken to stay as close as possible to the original design. However a couple of modifications have been made to make the aircraft safer. One of the modifications was to add ailerons which the original aircraft did not have. The aircraft was built by Pascal Kremer from Luxembourg with the precious help of Robert Baslee and his team from Airdrome Aeroplanes, Holden, MO. This aircraft is the prototype of a Bleriot XI kit which is available from Airdrome Aeroplanes.

Rotec R2800 Powered Airdrome Aeroplanes Bleriot Wins Award!
29th April 2009 Pascal writes:
Just to let you know. That we have been at the Sun N'Fun in Lakeland, Florida last week. There was a huge interest in the plane and the engine. AND we have won the award for the Best plans built light sport aircraft.
The other good news is that I have been invited to take part in the official celebrations in Dover to commemorate the first channel crossing. There will be three Bleriot's flying over the channel on the 25th of July. One will have an Anzani engine, the other has a Gnome engine and YES the third one to fly in loose formation with the others will have a ROTEC engine. We will be allowed to start on the original location and land near Dover.
.....
Best regards
Pascal Kremer

October 2009: Engine on display Sangatte France - Grandson of Louise Bleriot examines Rotec R2800 Radial
Pascal writes: Hi there,
Just wanted to share this picture with you. Here we are in Sangatte July 25th 2009. The gentleman who is looking at the Rotec engine powered Blériot XI is Louis Bleriot. Yes, the grand-son of Louis Bleriot who crossed the Channel.
He found the engine and the Bleriot replica with ailerons 'très intéressant' (very interesting).
I will keep you informed on the date on which we will cross the Channel.
Best regards - Pascal Kremer - Luxembourg
